MASCOTS: kites with symbols of the local environment
Each partner school involved the students into the creation of a mascot for the project by using different materials: a kite that flies from country to country collecting elements from the local enviroments. Students also made ribbons to decorate the kite with symbols representing the natural or human environment of the place. The ribbons have been exchanged during the project meeting in Malaga in October 2012. As a consequence, each school has located its own kite, with the ribbons from all the partner countries, in the school hall. A small reproduction of the kite, with the local symbols only, has been created to be taken from school to school during the teacher exchanges. You can see the eleven kites on the left side of the screen below while the ribbons with explanations of their meaning are on the right.
